Jack Wilshere will not be forced out of West Ham with the club trying to negotiate a termination of his £100,000-a-week contract.
The Hammers are trying to raise cash to revamp their squad. Wilshere has made just 18 appearances and scored one goal since joining the club in 2018 as a free agent.
West Ham’s talks come a week after Wilshere criticised his own club for selling teenager Grady Diangana to West Brom. Wilshere said on social media: “Go and do your thing in a club that respects you big player with a big future.” The former Arsenal playmaker has 10 months left to run on his contract and an unhappy, injury-ravaged couple of seasons in east London.
