New Hibs keeper Josef Bursik realised a dream when he got to play alongside idol Jack Butland as a kid.Now the former English Under-21 international cannot wait to lock horns with the Rangers No.1 in the Premiership.
Bursik made the season-long loan switch from Club Brugge this summer and is set to make his second competitive outing tonight against Queen’s Park.
The September 28 trip to Rangers will also be pencilled into Bursik’s diary given he will go up against former Stoke team-mate and mentor Butland.Bursik, who made the move to the Potters from AFC Wimbledon in 2017, said: “Going to Stoke, my idol at the time was Jack Butland.
In the space of a few weeks I was then training with him every day. That was crazy and I learned so much from him. There were a lot of senior professionals at Stoke and I thought I was in a better position than them physically.
