J.Lo Honors Selena Quintanilla Ahead of the 25th Anniversary of Her Death

Jennifer Lopez took to Instagram to share a social media tribute to the late Selena Quintanilla ahead of the 25th anniversary of the Tejano musician's death. "I can’t believe it’s been 23 years since this incredible movie came out and 25 years since her passing.

Selena was such an inspiration to me and I was so lucky to be chosen to play her," wrote Lopez alongside the posted clip. Lopez was nominated for a Golden Globe for her portrayal of the music icon in 1998.

Jennifer Lopez is reflecting on portraying Selena Quintanilla on the big screen, nearly 25 years after the Tejano music icon's untimely death.
