Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield reportedly faced a disgruntled crowd after This Morning picked up its latest National Television Award.

The ITV daytime show won an award during the showbiz ceremony held at London’s OVO Wembley Arena on Thursday evening (October 13).

The programme and its stars, including Holly, Phillip, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, saw off competition from Loose Women, The Chase and The Repair Shop to take home the gong in the Daytime category for a fifth year in a row.

As This Morning was announced as the winner for the Daytime category, a stunned Phillip put his head in his hands and appeared to hold back tears.
