Celebrity antiques dealer Ian Towning fell victim to the actions of violent thugs, as the star was attacked by hammer wielding robbers at his store in Chelsea.The ITV star, who is best known for appearing on Dickinson's Real Deal, was behind the counter of the shop in South West London, when the attackers burst in and demanded he hand over thousands of pounds worth of jewellery.
The masked assailants managed to steal an array of jewellery and antiques from the glass display cabinet, Mail Online reports.
Police also confirmed that three people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following Tuesday's brutal raid.The robbery took place at around midday at Bourbon-Hanby Antiques Arcade in South West London, according to workers on Sydney Street.
Stuart Fisher a chef at the nearby Market Place Restaurant recalled that the thugs appeared to be carrying what looked like a "clawhammer and a 5lb hammer”.The 53-year-old added: "Two guys came in and started smashing up the counters.
