ITV News anchor Tom Bradby pays tribute to 'brilliant' friend and colleague Emily Morgan
msn.comITV News has shared an extended tribute for Emily Morgan, who sadly died over the weekend at the age of 45. Morgan worked for ITN for 23 years, working her way up to become Health and Science Editor and playing a key role in the reporting of the Covid pandemic.
Her death from lung cancer was announced on Saturday (May 27) by the broadcaster. ‘We are saddened to share that Emily Morgan has passed away at the age of 45 following a short battle with lung cancer,’ they wrote in a statement.
An outpouring of tributes followed, with the likes of NHS England and Piers Morgan offering their condolences and praising her journalism.
Colleague Geraint Vincent also fought back tears as he honoured her during his show, hailing her ‘fearless’ and offering his thoughts out to her family.
