While some contestants such as Molly-Mae Hague and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu have gone on to find fame and wealth through lucrative brand partnerships and social-media sponsorships, others did not experience the glitz and glam they thought they signed up for.Former Love Island contestant Ikenna Ekwonna revealed his salary more than halved since he took part in the dating show.
Others were luckier, with Molly-Mae Hague, 23, holding an estimated net worth of £6million after online fashion brand PLT made her creative director.Gemma Owen also reportedly bagged a £100,000 deal with the brand.
However, many islanders on the ITV show were quite well off before they jetted across to take part in the reality dating show.
