Love Island runner-up Lana Jenkins, who came second with Ron Hall in this year's winter edition of the ITV2 series, has suffered after her new makeup advert for Rimmel London was taken off-air.
The promotion saw Lana appearing in new video spots for the brand on Facebook from September, but advertising regulators have now pulled them and called the message "inappropriate".The clip saw 25 year old Lana, who is a make-up artist herself and returned to her job months after the show, applying Rimmel products to her face and smiling at the camera, as the stunning beauty swept concealer and foundation across her skin.
With her blonde locks tied up in a loose ponytail and wearing a casual black camisole and rose gold necklace, Lana began the tutorial fresh-faced.The brand's post then captioned the video: "Get ready to slay this back-to-school season. "Get 25% off Multi-Tasker Concealer and other Rimmel faves with code B2S25 only at lookfantastic.com." Lana carried on that message in the clip, as she encouraged shoppers to race out and buy the products before schools were back in session.
But a number of viewers complained about the attempt to urge girls to buy makeup and cover up, when many would already be feeling anxious about returning to school.
