It's been a few days since Gemma Owen finally mentioned her famous dad while appearing in Love Island. The 19-year-old is the daughter of former footballer Michael Owen but despite being in the ITV2 dating show's villa for weeks, viewers haven't really heard her mention him.

It wasn't until last Thursday's edition of the hit programme that she broke her silence on Michael after fellow contestant Antigoni Buxton, who has since left the villa, probed Gemma on her famous family.

She said: "Sorry, excuse me if I’m being ignorant but is your dad very, very well known? He played for England, right." Gemma confirmed he was before revealing she also shared a close connection with David Beckham's family.

She added: "I went to nursery with his sons." READ MORE: ITV Love Island fans concerned over Dami and Indiyah issue spotted in Casa Amor scenes But now Gemma has added a few more details about her life back home while chatting to new boy Jack in Casa Amor.
