Former Pop Idol star Michelle McManus appeared on Tuesday's instalment of Loose Women where she reflected on winning the singing competition back in 2003, marking 20 years since the life-changing moment.Michelle, now 43, was brought to tears two decades ago when she won the nation over at the tender age of 23 and she became emotional as she reflected on how far she has come since then.The Scots singer joined the panel showcasing her vibrant bright red hair as she looked glammed up for her interview and spoke of the moment she won, explaining "It's really weird sometimes it doesn't feel like it happened to me".

Discussing how she dealt with the 'flush of celebrity' from her win, Michelle said: "Thankfully [social media] wasn't a thing back then because knowing what we know now about it I don't think I would have been mentally strong enough."It was such a huge thing of its time, everyone was watching television so there was millions of viewers, I don't quite think I took it all in at the time."Michelle has currently been marking the milestone moment in her life alongside BBC Scotland with a documentary to highlight the anniversary and says she has been "blown away" by the support of contributors who agreed to take part.One of those featuring was Robbie Williams, as Michelle gushed: "I need to get that on a t-shirt," and laughed.
