Kate Garraway from ITV's Good Morning Britain has shared that a colleague on the show had a cancer scare this year. The TV presenter also mentioned that the colleague is still waiting for a call back from a check-up they had in June, due to the NHS's long waiting times.
Kate explained that her colleague had a 'suspicious result' and was told they would be called back. It's feared that the waiting lists could reach eight million by summer 2024 because of a huge backlog and strikes from medical staff.The Health Foundation has warned that this massive number could be reached even if health service staff stopped striking.
On Friday's episode of the ITV breakfast show, Kate and Adil Ray were joined by Iain Dale and Jacqui Smith to chat about the day's big issues.
Iain shared his thoughts, saying: "I think a lot depends on the condition you have, as you know, I've had my own health issues over the past year and I can only speak very positively about my experience.
