ITV have thrown their support behind Ashley Banjo and his Diversity bandmates following a barrage of complaints about their Black Lives Matter inspired routine on Britain's Got Talent.
During a live episode of the talent show aired on September 5, the former BGT winners performed a provocative retelling of some of the biggest news events of the year - including the killing of George Floyd and the BLM protests.
While many viewers praised the thought-provoking piece, regulators Ofcom have now recorded 21,673 complaints about the content of Diversity's performance, making it one of the most controversial TV moments of the decade.
