Amelia has played the role of April Windsor since 2014, and before Tuesday was last seen on Christmas Eve, before she fled the village the following day.
Her disappearance was thought to be mostly down to her finding out the truth behind her mother's (Donna Windsor) death and struggling with the fact that Marlon had lied to her.
However, during the special installment that saw a flashback of April's harrowing ordeal, the ITV soap revealed that April had run away due to an unexpected pregnancy where she felt she had to leave to avoid causing any more upset in the family dynamic.
