Emmerdale fans will be able to get their fix of the Yorkshire-based soap very soon as its return date is finally revealed. The ITV soap made a brief return to screens on Sunday night (September 11) after canceling its episodes at the end of the week following the Queen's death.
Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully last Thursday afternoon (September 8) at Balmoral, her Scottish Highlands home. The Queen’s son and successor King Charles III as well as the Queen's other children and grandchildren Princes William and Harry had rushed to be by her bedside.
The Palace said in a brief statement: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow." It has been announced that her funeral will take place on next Monday, September 19, the day after the 10-day period of National Mourning comes to an end.
