ITV Dancing On Ice fans confused to see Bez in the audience after announcing he had Covid

Dancing On Ice fans were baffled to see Bez in the audience of Sunday night's show after the star announced last week that he had coronavirus.

The Happy Mondays maraca player made his skating debut in the first show of the series last Sunday. However just a day later, it was announced that he had been forced into isolation after catching Covid-19. The 57-year-old, who is partnered with reigning skating champion Angela Egan, said: "I’ve had a positive test. "I’m gutted because I’m going to be missing training but I’m looking forward to skating on the show again for week three and I’ll be tuning at home and cheering on my mates who are skating this weekend." And an ITV spokesperson said: "We have stringent protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all our contributors and staff which are routinely monitored and updated to reflect the current guidelines."
