Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has revealed he's had major surgery with a long recovery process ahead - up to a year.The 41 year old, who is best-known for playing the role of Tyrone Dobbs on Corrie, took to Instagram to share his news with his 233k followers.
He could be seen lying on a bed in comfy black clothes as he put a positive thumbs up to the camera, as he added a box that read: "ACL reconstruction surgery," with a tick and the date of his surgery, which was on November 3.
In his caption, Alan wrote: "Reconstruction surgery. "Well, On Friday I underwent ACL reconstruction surgery. I have been told the surgery went really well. "I know I have a long 9-12 months of rehabilitation ahead of me but I’m sure with the support of family & friends I’ll get there. "Thank you to the amazing!
Staff at Oaklands xx ..and also Thanks to my very own nurse Ratched @missdrewmerry93." He finished his post by adding: "Any rehab tips or advise??" His Coronation Street co-star Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Connor in the soap, rushed to offer some words of support to her pal.
