ITV confirms Saturday night schedule following death of Queen Elizabeth II

ITV has updated and confirmed its schedule for Saturday night following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. TV schedules had to change to cover the Queen's passing after it was announced on Thursday.

As a result Saturday's schedule also looks different with many shows cancelled. Among those is this year's National Television Awards which has now been rescheduled.

Now, the ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 13 and will be broadcasted live from the OVO Arena Wembley. The broadcasting company will also release further details for Sunday's schedule as well as the schedule for the following week. Read more: How the Queen responded in one of Manchester's darkest hours The first of the three documentaries that will be aired is title Our Queen, The People's Stories and will be narrated by Nicola Walker and will delve into people's personal memories of people from all walks and life and how the Queen affected their lives.

At 3.10pm, ITV will air its second documentary The Queen in Her Own Words which will be narrated by Julie Etchingham. This will feature speeches, letters, broadcasts and personal memoirs to explore both the Queen's public and private life over the years.
