Exclusive: It’s What’s Inside, which lands on Netflix on Oct. 4, marks the first time husbands Colman and Raúl Domingo produced a feature film together.
In an exclusive featurette from Netflix, the couple discussed their work on the thriller — Colman executive producing and Raúl producing for their company Edith Productions, which they started at the beginning of the pandemic — as well as with writer and director Greg Jardin. “A lot of things that we do are a Trojan horse, like you don’t see it coming,” Colman said of Edith’s projects. “The principle, I think, also, is entertain you while gutting you,” Raúl added. “It’s usually put into some package.
It could be a beautiful cake, but then you realize that there’s a shiv inside,” Colman said. “Or some glitter. The story follows a group of friends that gather to celebrate their one friend, the groom, before his wedding, at a party that slowly turns sideways when a friend on the edge of the group surprises everyone and brings a mysterious game into the mix that stirs up past skeletons, regrets and more.
