Imelda May shared a touching moment with her followers back in December as she was reunited with her beloved mum Madge in Dublin after being separated for almost a year.
However, the UK-based singer shared her fresh heartache about her mother’s health on The Ryan Tubridy Show on RTÉ Radio 1. When Tubridy asked Imelda how her mum, who he has met on previous occasions, was doing she became very emotional as she shared an unexpected answer. ‘Mam’s not good at all.
I might burst into tears,’ she said choking up. ‘Mam’s had a stroke and is in hospital. ‘It’s really tough because we can’t visit her, we can’t see her and it’s just absolutely torturous to be honest.
