It's time to normalise pregnant women feeling s**t about their changing bodies.This week, pregnant EastEnders star Louisa Lytton admitted there have been times that she's broken down in tears to her husband-to-be Ben, telling him: "I hate my body and I don't like what is going on!" And I can so relate.The notion that pregnant women should just sit back and be totally at ease whilst every part of their body feels as though it's expanding like putty in cement cracks is laughable.
Particularly when most of us have felt the pressure to conform to a rigid body standard since early puberty. I can pinpoint the exact moment I first felt like total s**t about my body.
