A bullying son attacked his mum before harassing her to try and get her to retract a statement to police. Liam Turner asked his mother Lesley for money before starting a new job.
When she said she couldn't, he became aggressive. The 29-year-old started shouting and swearing at her, before launching a table placemat at her, hitting her eye.

But between June 28 and November 2 last year, he harassed her. "He demanded money from her, caused damage and smashed items," prosecutor Tara Riley said. "The defendant was shouting at her and saying 'why don't you just retract your statement'.
