Tipping the scales at more than 134kg and measuring more than 9ft, Jamie says it's the 'biggest fish I've ever laid hands on' in 22 years in the trade.He said: "It's a monster, a proper specimen."It was caught in the North Sea off the coast of Peterhead in Scotland on Friday.Jamie bought it at Fleetwood fish market for £2,000 and once filleted says it will provide about 1,000 portions.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News Jamie said he was planning to put it on the specials board in the restaurant on Tuesday lunchtime.
He added: "I'll take the head off first."They have really big cheeks, which is a really succulent part of the fish."Then I'll cut the rest up into 10 really big.
