Isles of Scilly revellers rang in the New Year with gatherings of up to six indoors, fancy dress parties and trips to the pub.
The islands, 30 miles off the coast of Cornwall, are the only part of the country still under Tier One restrictions, enabling friends and family to meet indoors, while observing the rule of six.
Islanders took advantage of the opportunity on Thursday night to bid farewell to 2020 together in a "fun" and "civilised" pub environment - with a few fancy-dress outfits thrown in for good measure.
The Mermaid Inn, on the largest Scilly Isle, St Mary's, attracted a mostly younger crowd, with friends gathering in groups of six to raise a glass of Prosecco to the new year.
