Those living near a children's play area containing only a bin have dubbed it 'pointless' and claim it is simply used as a 'dog toilet.' The small park sits on the corner of two busy roads in the built-up area of Edgeley, Stockport, close to its border with Cheadle Heath.
However it has long left locals baffled due to the fact there is absolutely no play equipment, or any other amenities, inside.
The space, which sits on the corner Avondale Road and St Lesmo Road, is officially called Scholars Green 1 and is a Local Area of Play (LAP).
Stockport Council documents say these are 'small landscaped areas designed for young children.' Its signs say it is intended for kids aged six and under.
