Ricky Gervais was once a thriving pop star before he made his career in comedy.The British comedian, 62, actually moonlighted as a singer in the 1980s, forming a band called Seona Dancing.The “Office” star created the pop duo with friend Bill Macrae during their senior year at University College London in 1983.The pair was signed by London Records at the time and even released two tracks: “More to Lose” and “Bitter Heart.”In a resurfaced video, Gervais can be seen crooning his heart out in typical ’80s fashion while Macrae played the piano.“Yearly reminder that Ricky Gervais once performed a would-be New Romantic classic in front of a bunch of grade schoolers,” the account called “Terribly Awesome Covers” captioned the jaw-dropping clip.
