George Grierson reckons new arrivals Cammy MacNair and Mick Lennox can help plug more than a few gaps in his Irvine Meadow squad.Medda boss Grierson took a new year double dip into the transfer market last week to bring his signing tally to four since entering the hotseat in October. He’s hopeful his business isn’t done just yet but insists the two new faces are versatile enough to take on multiple roles.Midfielder MacNair arrives from Premier Division rivals Kirkintilloch Rob Roy on an 18 month deal while Lennox has been handed his first taste of the top flight after spells in the lower divisions with Ardrossan Winton Rovers and Girvan.Grierson said: “We’d been tracking Cammy for a while.

He caught our eye when Rob Roy played us earlier in the season. He was excellent that day.“He gives us good options as someone who can play in a number of positions, wide right, centre mid and in a more forward role.“He’s a very fit boy who will go box-to-box all day long.

He’s very direct, will run with the ball and is the kind of player who’ll break out and get beyond the frontmen.“I like boys like that who are not pigeon-holed.

Apart from strikers and centre-halves I want everyone else in my team to be versatile.“We tried to get him in a bit earlier but we’re just delighted he’s on board now.
