An investigation is underway after eight people were rescued from a blaze at a block of flats in Rochdale. Fire crews rushed to the scene, on Daventry Road, on Monday evening (August 1).
After those inside were brought down to safety by a ladder, they then all refused any treatment from paramedics on hand, the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed.
An investigation is now ongoing into the cause of the incident. Multiple fire crews raced to the scene, and used hose reels and ventilation equipment to extinguish the fire following the recovery of those inside.
