Police investigating the death of Keano Byrne whose body was found in a river in Stockport said today a post-mortem has been inconclusive so far.
The missing 26-year-old was discovered on Friday afternoon at Reddish Vale Country Park. He was last seen in the early hours of Sunday, March 26, leaving Northumberland Road in Brinnington and walking towards Reddish Vale with another man.
Shortly after Keano was reported missing, police enquiries established that he may have come to harm and officers identified several lines of enquiry that resulted in two arrests, according to the force. Today GMP said the 26-year-old had been eliminated from inquiries. The 30-year-old has been released on bail. Keano, from Gorton, was reported missing on Monday, March 27, when GMP launched an immediate investigation.
