Former footballer David Beckham used his platform to shine a spotlight on inspiring young women he encountered during his charity work in India.Through a series of photos, David applauded their efforts in standing against child labor, child marriage, and gender-based violence, emphasising the importance of investing in girls' health, education, and rights.

He wrote: “Last year in India I met some amazing young women and girls who are standing up against child labour, child marriage and gender-based violence and inspiring other young people like themselves... "This International Women's Day is a reminder that investing in the health, education and rights of adolescent girls can create a positive ripple effect across the world.” Meanwhile, pop icon Kylie Minogue surprised fans with a special appearance at Madonna's Celebration Tour in LA, commemorating International Women's Day with a rendition of Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive.
