Deep-fried calzone, cheesy garlic knots, and real Chicago-style pizza pies - basically think of anything deliciously deep fried and glistening in oil and you have American Pies.
From the people behind Chorlton favourite Brewski - you know the ones behind the American comfort food and huge Mates Dates platters - American Pies became a quick hit at its flagship site on Mosley Street just down from Market Street.
Now, their deep-dish pizza restaurant has left its original home and moved to Manchester's own Little Italy; Ancoats. And while the former site will soon transform into a new concept, all eyes on now on Cutting Room Square where they've opened inside the former Second City bar. The bar, which was left empty for a year boasts an entirely new proposition resembling a Italian-American diner. With black and white checkerboard tiles, dark timbre-clad booths and walls and its warming lighting, it sets the tone nicely.
