Max Whitlock will represent Team GB for the very last time at the 2024 Olympic Games, with professional gymnast planning to retire afterwards.
As the most successful gymnast in British history, Max has had an incredible career. The 31 year old, who has fourteen medals and six titles in Olympic and World Championships, will become the first ever gymnast to win four Olympic medals on the same apparatus if wins on the pommel horse in Paris.
He has previously won two golds and a bronze medal. Despite his huge success and undeniable talent, Max's Olympic journey hasn't been completely plain-sailing.The gymnast took an 18-month break from the sport after Tokyo 2020 as he began to struggle with his mental health.
He has been open about his struggles, having said he felt "completely lost" after the Tokyo games, which took place in 2021.
