As far as luxury purchases go, Mohammed Bin Salman knows how to splash his cash. The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia is on the verge of completing a whopping £300million takeover of Newcastle United.
But amazingly that is just £70m more than the cost of his French Chateau, which set him back no less than £230m. The property sprawling 50,000 square feet is based in Louveciennes, near Versailles.
Known as Chateau Louis XIV, the house is modelled on 17th-century French castles, and was built between 2008-2011. Among its many impressive features are an in-house aquarium, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a nightclub.
