Before she began dating Kate, the actress had been left devastated by the split from her first wife. The soap star, who plays Vanessa Woodfield, come out as gay in 2013, one year after she started dating former flame Rosie Nicholl in 2012.
Michelle married Rosie in 2015 but the couple decided to go their separate ways for good two years later in 2017. Although Michelle said the end of her marriage was difficult, it didn't stop the actress from being open to romance in the future.
