Married At First Sight’s Katie Johnston may not have found her happily ever on the dating show, following a tumultuous relationship with Tim Gromie, but she didn't walk away empty-handed.
The former couple both decided to exit the show on Sunday night after Tim refused to move into their Sydney home with Katie, following a fiery dinner party where his co-stars criticised him for his treatment of his bride.
During their wedding, Tim visibly recoiled from Katie's touch and later confided in producers that she was 'totally not what he wanted.' His reluctance only intensified in the days that followed, leaving Katie with no choice but to navigate the experience on her own.
Since then Katie, 37, has spent the past six months since filming ended developing a free online course aimed at helping other women identify toxic traits in themselves and potential partners. The course also aims to provide tools to boost self-esteem and confidence. "Most people don't know that Katie has a degree in behavioural science and a major in psychology, and she's incredibly passionate about using her experiences and self-discoveries to help other women," a source close to the reality show told Yahoo Lifestyle.
