It's not a regular occurrence for the Princess of Wales to step out on public joint engagements with her father-in-law King Charles but when they do, we are treated to a glimpse of their close bond and special relationship.An example of this was during 2021 when Kate and Charles attended the world premiere of the new James Bond movie alongside Prince William and Camilla at the Royal Albert Hall.The pair were snapped affectionately greeting one another with a kiss on the cheek which according to experts showcases their "rather tight relationship".

Here we take a closer look back at how their bond developed over the years, the Mirror reports.Kate and William famously met while they were both studying at St Andrews University in Scotland which is where their relationship began.

It seems that even in the early stages before the pair announced their engagement in 2010, Charles welcomed his future daughter-in-law into the family with open arms.In an interview to mark their engagement, Kate said that Charles had been "very, very welcoming" and "very friendly".
