Gordon Ramsay is channeling his inner Grand Designs as he prepares to finish a giant basement beneath his £7m London mansion.
The celebrity chef, whose second Cornwall home is due to be demolished after a record-breaking sale in the county, won planning permission for the new build in July last year.
The basement will add a humungous 76 square metres to their family home, and includes a wine store and a master bedroom big enough to take over an entire floor.
But, as is always the way, an untimely construction hiccup in the form of historic trees on the property caused building delays, reports the Mirror.
