Colin Salmon made his debut as George Knight on EastEnders earlier this year, with his wife being part of the reason to join the BBC soap.The actor, 61 who hails from London, arrived on Albert Square as the new Queen Vic owner in June this year, alongside his two daughters Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford).
Before EastEnders, he was best known for his roles in the James Bond franchise and Doctor Who. Off screen, the soap star is a doting father and husband to his wife, Fiona Hawthorne who is an artist and illustrator.The couple tied the knot in 1988 and share four children together, Sasha, Rudi, Eden and Ben.
Doting husband Colin previously opened up about joining EastEnders and said his wife's health problems were a factor in taking on the soap role.
When asked what drew him to the soap at a screening earlier this year, Colin told OK! that it was EastEnders' executive producer Chris Clenshaw.
