In case you didn’t know, for the past few years, Welsh singer Charlotte Church has been busy working on and creating her very own magical nature retreat in the heart of Wales. The 37 year old, who rose to fame as a classical singer as a child, has since branched out to other areas of showbiz, including acting and presenting.
But now, she is taking on the world of wellness, where many celebs before her (we’re talking Gwyneth Paltrow, Kourtney Kardashian, Kate Hudson, etc.) have paved the way.The star has been documenting her journey through her own show, Charlotte Church's Dream Build, which first aired on Discovery+ back in 2021.
According to the official synopsis, the series follows “the Welsh singer as she buys designer Laura Ashley's 49-acre mansion in Elan Valley in mid-Wales and tries to turn it into a holiday retreat.” According to Charlotte, it “offers an escape from the complexity of modern life; connecting people back to the land, to themselves, and to their journeys.” Guests can either enjoy short residential retreats complete with daily wellness exercises or opt for longer stays with specialist practitioners, all of which “deliver a unique, exciting and nourishing menu of activities in keeping with the seasons.” When it comes to what visitors can expect nature wise, Charlotte really struck gold with the location of the mansion.
From waterfalls, rocks and caves, the singer’s little slice of heaven is quite literally a natural beauty, which is probably why she felt it was the perfect place for her big project.
