Inside Bruce Willis' 'blended family' after shock Aphasia diagnosis

Screen legend Bruce Willis has announced that he will be retiring from acting after being diagnosed with Aphasia.The 67-year-old revealed the news in an announcement posted by his wife and mother of his two youngest children, Emma Heming Willis.

It read: “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. "As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him." They continued: "This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. "We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him." “As Bruce always says, “Live it up” and together we plan to do just that." Emma and Bruce have been married since 2009 and live together with their daughters, Mabel, nine, and seven year old Evelyn.They met at the Sundance Film Festival in 2007, and Bruce has said it was total love at first sight. "When we first met, I was surprised at how charming and how funny he was – and extremely handsome," Emma said, to which the Die Hard actor added, "I was already in love with her." Bruce was previously married to fellow A-lister Demi Moore for 23 years and together they share daughters Rumer, 33, Scout, 30, and Tallulah, 28.
