Bolton Coroners' Court heard how the 17-year-old was knocked over by a vehicle on Peveril Road, before being stabbed three times in the chest and shins.
The trainee electrician then collapsed as he made his way to a nearby house for help, the inquest was told. Police coroner's officer Stefan Wilson told the court: "On April 21, Josiah Normal was stabbed to the centre of his chest and also to the outer area of both shins.
