The school where a boy died climbing onto lockers had missed 'clear risks,' an inquest into his death was told. Nine-year-old Leo Latifi died from severe head injuries after the locker unit at the school fell on him.

A lack of "appropriate assessment" significantly contributed to the schoolboy's death, a jury has found. The unit collapsed on him in a changing room at Great Baddow High School, where he had been taking swimming lessons, on May 23, 2019, reports Essex Live.

The inquest into his death heard that Leo and his friend were "climbing" on the lockers when the unit fell at around 6pm, causing Leo to fall and hit his head.
