Alex Ritman Writer/director James Kermack (“Knuckledust,” “Hi-Lo Joe,” “Art of the Jump”) has lined up his next film, “Breathe Deep,” a survival action-thriller set in the high-stakes world of social media adventurers.
The project — from Featuristic Films and heading to the European Film Market with Cornerstone — will star Ingrid Torelli (“Late Night With The Devil,” “The End”), Michiel Huisman (“Echo 3,” “Game of Thrones”) and TikTok star Avani Gregg, who has more than 60+ million followers on social media and also appeared in a viral show on YouTube’s Brat Network alongside the short director Wesley Wang’s “You Are Seen.” “Breathe Deep” follows exploration influencer Addy Frost (Torelli), who, thirteen years after witnessing her father’s death by a shark in the Devil’s Triangle, returns to the fateful site wearing a replica of his vintage diving suit, only to face a deadly battle against a great white shark, a mysterious killer, and her own fears.
Kermack wrote the screenplay together with G.D. Wright, who previously wrote the popular crime novel “After the Storm.” “Breathe Deep” is being produced by Featuristic Films’ Julien Loeffler and James Kermack (“Salvable,” “Cold Meat”).
Halo Post (“The Brutalist,” “Return to Silent Hill”) will handle post-production and Atomic Arts (“Alien: Romulus,” “Nosferatu”) will oversee VFX.
