Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Daniel was diagnosed with an aggressive oesophageal cancer in 2018, and was told he would have one to five years left, however, almost exactly two years later Daniel passed away.
Rachel has always been open and honest about her experiences with grief, and how she helps her three girls with theirs, and one thing they do is always talk about and celebrate Daniel’s life.
In order to mark her late husband’s birthday, the mother-of-three dressed in a Liverpool jersey, as did her three daughters, because that was Daniel’s favourite team.
