Influencer 'heartbroken' as they announce son, 3, has died in tragic accident

An influencer has said she is "broken-hearted" as she shared the tragic news that her three year old son had died. Laura Meritt Walker told her followers about the passing of her son, Callahan, whom she nicknamed "Cal-Bear", on her lifestyle blog, Merritt and Style.

Laura, who creates content about fashion and family life with her sister Cristie, described her son's shock death as a "tragic accident," without going into more detail.

Laura and her husband David Walker have three sons: Beckham, 10, Chamberlain, 7, and their youngest, Callahan. In her emotional post, she wrote: "We are completely broken-hearted to share that we lost our precious Callahan in a tragic accident last week," and confessed, "He was such a blessing and brought so much joy to our whole family." She continued: "Cal-Bear was absolutely adored by his big brothers and loved them beyond measure.

As parents we are completely shattered at the loss of our baby boy." Lastly, she wrote: "We take comfort knowing he is being held in the arms of Jesus," and asked for prayers saying, "We would be honoured to have your prayers for peace and strength over our family during this impossible time." The post included a lovely photo of Laura, David, and little Callahan all beaming together.
