The ongoing strike by Hollywood actors has the potential to disrupt UK film production as US companies consider shifting filming to Britain, according to Equity, the British performers' union.
In solidarity with their American counterparts, who are engaged in a dispute with Hollywood studios, Equity has issued a warning to US companies intending to move productions to the UK.
Equity, which represents over 47,000 performers in the UK, emphasised that while they are not currently striking, they will be closely monitoring any attempts to relocate productions in response to the strike.
The union's general secretary, Paul Fleming, expressed hope for a swift resolution between the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (Sag-Aftra) and its members.
