mirror.co.ukIt's the dream acting job - filming in the stunning paradise of the Caribbean. And Shyko Amos couldn't believe her luck when she was chosen from all the hopefuls to appear in the new series of the hit BBC detective show.
Officer Diane Myer, played by Danny John-Jules, left a vacancy for the Saint Marie police force. Chosen to take over from the popular police officer, and fresh out of training school, Officer Ruby Patterson joined the squad in series eight.
Just like her character, Shyko is a newcomer with Death In Paradise her first ever television role. She said: "It’s been a dream.
It really has, it’s just been a dream." Shyko had several stage productions under her belt when she signed with a new agent.
