Photographs show the devastating aftermath of a huge fire at a warehouse in Oldham. More than 50 firefighters worked through the early hours to battle the blaze at The Tile Shop on Barry Street.

As firefighters dampened down this morning (Saturday), the extent of the damage was laid bare. The inside of the building, which could be seen through windows, appeared to be gutted, the sign had melted away and there were visible scorch marks and fire damage to the exterior.

Around 8.30am, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) confirmed that the fire had been extinguished. However, firefighters warned people to still avoid the area if possible, due to 'residual smoke'.
