Ilford stabbing: Man 'knifed' in front of shoppers in Sainsbury's

A man is seriously injured after being stabbed inside a Sainsbury's store filled with shoppers. Dramatic footage shows the aftermath of the incident inside the branch in Ilford, Essex, at around 7.15pm where the victim is struggling to stand and blood is dripping at his feet as man tries to help him.

Horrified shoppers step back as a call for security is made on the store's tannoy by a worker. A security guard rushes to the pair before the victim manages to get up on his feet and tries to walk out of the store but is stopped by the man who tried to help him.

Police say the victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Police are linking the stabbing to another incident where paramedics were called to an address in Forest Gate, east
