There are certain things we associate with a trip to IKEA and heading home with a bag of mini Daim bars is definitely one of them.
But sadly the tradition is no more after the product has now disappeared from the Swedish furniture giant's stores. The company made the announcement last year, saying it would be phasing out products from Cadbury owner Mondelez and focusing on its own IKEA-branded confectionery. Stands where the Daim would previously have been stocked are now filled with bags of Dumle - soft chewy toffees coated in smooth chocolate.
The red and blue packets, costing £3.50 for 270g, are strikingly similar to Daim, but once open, they don't look or taste like the crunchy almond caramel treats, which may disappoint some shoppers.
