Idris Elba is taking on a new role! Variety writes that the actor will star in and executive producer the thriller series Hijack for Apple TV+. Click inside to read more… Here’s a summary from the outlet: “Idris will play accomplished business negotiator Sam Nelson, whose fast-talking skills are called upon when a plane he is riding is hijacked.” The network’s synopsis adds, “[Sam] needs to step up and use all his guile to try and save the lives of the passengers — but, his high-risk strategy could be his undoing,” The seven-part series will be the first project to debut from Idris‘ first look deal with Apple.
